Flourished Reindeer Christmas Ornament

Hello Again!!!  I'm back today to share another project using a new release die from Elizabeth Craft Designs by designer, Suzanne Cannon.  The Flourished Christmas Minis (ECD / QF) are such a cool set.  Each one is great on it's own or combined with whatever but they are also sized perfectly to match the ornament in the Love Joy Peace Christmas Ornament Set (ECD / QF) which is what I'm sharing today.

I cut the Flourished Ornament from gold metallic cardstock.  I cut an ECD Stitched Circle from white cardstock that had Clear Double Sided Adhesive on the top of the cardstock. The stitched circle is a little bit bigger than the opening in the ornament but not larger than the ornament making it the perfect size to place behind it.  I removed the liner from the adhesive and stuck it to the back of the ornament.  This adheres it well to the ornament and the center is all adhesive.  I cut the Flourished Reindeer from an extra adhesive release sheet (or you could even cut it from the release sheet you take off the stitched circle).  I placed this release sheet onto the exposed adhesive inside the ornament pressing it down well with an extra release sheet.  Next I added ECD True Red Silk Microfine Glitter to the exposed adhesive, being sure to cover it well, tapped and brushed off the extra glitter and put it back into the container.  I then polished (burnished) the glitter by rubbing my fingertip over the glitter pressing well and brushed off any excess glitter that might have rubbed off.  I removed the Reindeer liner and applied Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter, lightly tapped off the excess (you don't want to brush any extra off because you could get a little red and that would contaminate you cool diamond) and put it back in the container.  Again polish the glitter by rubbing over it with your fingertip.  Add a hanger and you have a pretty ornament for your tree!!!  You could also use it as a gift tag or add it to a card.  You could "dress it up" as much as you'd like or leave it simple as I've done here.

Remember there are posts over on Quietfire Creations every day for a week showcasing the new dies and there is a give away.

Have a wonderful day!!!

Hugs, Wanda
