Floral Birthday Card

Here we are at the beginning of the 3rd week of June.  That means 2018 is almost half over.  Can you believe it!!

This card is almost all Tim Holtz products.  The background is the Botanical 3D embossing folder.  The pink is Wendy Vecchi's Cactus Flower Archival Ink - LOVE that color!!! I die cut a rectangle from the background using Sizzix/Tim Holtz Stacked Deckle and popped up the cut piece inking the edges of both rectangles. The flower is stamped, die cut with it's matching die, and colored using Distress Inks and markers.  There is also a bit of white colored pencil used.  Happy Birthday was die cut from black cardstock.  I then added Distress Dry Glitter Rock Candy to the words using Glossy Accents.  After it was dry I went over them with Black Alcohol Ink to make the black darker.  I love the way it turned out.  A couple of Idea-ology pieces.  Distress Paint was added to the edges of the token and the letters highlighted with Distress Crayon.

Happy Anniversary

Happy Tuesday!!!

For the background of this card I put Wendy Vecchi Blendable Dye Inks (Sunflower, Prickley Pear, Fern Green) on my craft sheet, sprayed with water and swiped a piece of watercolor paper through it picking up more ink until I liked it.  Once dried, I stamped over it with Wendy's Archival Ink and the Tim Holtz background stamp, Botanical.  Fern Green Blendable Dye Ink was sponged around the edges, dried, and dots made with a white gel pen.  The flowers are made with Susan's Garden Geranium die set (Elizabeth Craft Designs).  Happy Anniversary (Elizabeth Craft Designs by Suzanne Cannon) is die cut from Red Metallic Shimmer Sheetz.  The butterfly is a Wendy Vecchi Mat Mini inked with Blendable Dye Inks, stamped with Wendy's Dot Background and then white gel pen dots added to the center of the red stamped dots.

Welcome Little One

Hello on this very warm, humid Saturday.  I am once again sharing a card made with new releases from Elizabeth Craft Designs designed by Suzanne Cannon.

I started with a Gel Press print from my pile and stamped the Welcome Little One oval (ECD or QF) with Archival Ink Jet Black using the Tim Holtz Stamping Platform.  A white gel pen was used on the moon and stars.  The piece was trimmed down, edges distressed, layered to a white panel, edges distressed, and then layered to a folded white card.  The onesie is  part of the Little Ones Set (QF or ECD).  I cut the solid piece from white cardstock, the detailed piece from colored cardstock and lightly inked the edges.

Party Time!

Hello!!!  I'm back today sharing an easy card using new release items.  On Tuesday Elizabeth Craft Designs released new dies and stamps for the A Way With Words collections by designer, Suzanne Cannon.  Today I've used the Big Balloon (QF or ECD), You're Invited (QF or ECD), and a stamp from the Please Join Us Collection (QF or ECD).

I dug through my stuff and pulled a piece of paper from many years ago made while playing with Dee Gruenig's sponges and inks.  I cut the big balloon from that paper.  The edges of the balloon are inked with Distress Ink Picked Raspberry.  The bow/string is cut from pink cardstock and inked a bit with Picked Raspberry.  You're Invited is cut from white cardstock.  Party Time! was stamped with Archival Ink Jet Black.  A bit of Wink of Stella Gl. Clear pen was added to You're Invited and around the edges of the white card.  You have no idea how hard it was for me to have a white background, LOL.

I hope you enjoy the card!!!

Miss You - New Releases

Hello!!!  It is new release day for Elizabeth Craft Design's and designer, Suzanne Cannon.  You can find the whole release at ECD here or at Quietfire Design here.  There is also a blog post at Quietfire Creations about the new release with projects and a post on the Elizabeth Craft Design's Blog with a large collection of projects created with the new release.  Also, if you missed it, for the past week on the Quietfire Creations blog there was a project every day using the new release.

I'm sharing a card here today.  I die cut the hearts (ECD / QF) from a panel of White Soft Finish Cardstock.  A piece of white cardstock was cut large enough to cover the hearts area, a piece of Clear Double Sided Adhesive was added to the top, the liner removed and then covered with Silk Microfine Glitter Fuchsia.  This was attached behind the cut out hearts so the glitter would show through to the front.  The edges of the panel were inked bringing the green color up farther at the bottom.  Several Leafy Branches (Moda Scrap Leafy Branch 4) were cut, inked, attached along the bottom edge.  Once glued on they were trimmed even with the panel.  Miss you (ECD / QF) was die cut from white cardstock covered with Clear Double Sided Adhesive.  The adhesive liner was removed and the die cut covered with Fuchsia Glitter.
