I think this card (I actually made two) came out so pretty!!!!!!! I glued the Tim Holtz music print tissue paper onto cardstock and let it dry. Sewed the zigzag around the edge. I then sprayed on a bit of water and dabbed on Distress Paints spritzing a bit more water if necessary but I didn't want the colors to blend too much, just a little. Dried it. Stamped the scripture (Roann Mathias) with Ranger's Archival Ink jet black and embossed with clear detail powder. Stamped the vine (Magenta) repeated across with Archival Ink emerald green. Attached it to a folded card.

Butterfly Birthday
A birthday tag for our granddaughter made back in August. The background is Distress Paints. Put paint on craft sheet, spray with some water, run tag through the paint and swirl around; if needed, spray more water on tag to help paint blend, but not too much. Add white paint through punchinella. Stamp background images (Studio 490) with Archival Ink. Stamp butterfly (Chocolate Baroque) in black and emboss with clear powder. Add coloring with Sharpie markers and a white gel pen. Stamp sentiment with Archival jet black. Stencil lines (Studio 490). Distress edges and add white paint. Add white pen stitching. Finish it off with an Idea-ology metal journey piece.
I think the color looks a little truer with the picture taken against black cardstock.
The back is Distress paint rubbed on with the dabber top. Dots of DP added around the edges by just pressing the dabber top down. White pen doodles. Scripture (Our Daily Bread Designs) stamped with Ranger's Archival Ink jet black.
And a set of jewelry as part of her gift. Vintaj blanks and butterflies embossed in one of their folders, and a large filigree butterfly, all colored with Vintaj Patinas, dried, sanded, and coated with the Glaze. Add some beads, ear wires, jump rings and ball chain for a fun set.

Thanksgiving Has Wings
This card uses one of the stamps from Quietfire Design's most recent release, To Give Thanks - Set of 4 Stamps. For the background I started with a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Neenah white cardstock and added Distress Paints ripe persimmon, wild honey, scattered straw, and tarnished brass by applying the paints to my craft sheet and smooshing the cardstock into it, lifting and pressing until I liked it and dried it with a heat tool. I then took an old speckle stamp, tapped it into excess scattered straw paint and stamped it onto my paper and dried it again. I stamped the quote on with Ranger's Archival Ink jet black and dried it. Next I used Tim Holtz's Alterations embossing folder Leaves and also one of the Embossing Diffusers to emboss the small leaves around the quote and then added Distress Ink vintage photo with a blending tool over the embossing to bring it out more. Rubbed Inka Gold old gold around the edges with my finger - love how the gold catches the light at you move the card!! Wrapped on red twine. Cut a piece of burlap, glued it on, and then dabbed on a little tarnished brass Distress Paint, dried it, and then rubbed on a little Inka Gold. Cut the 3 leaves (Tim Holtz movers and shapers) from white cardstock and colored them with Distress Stains mustard seed, ripe persimmon, and aged mahogany by putting the stain on the craft sheet, spraying with a little water and pressing/sliding the leaves through the color. Dried the leaves, added Distress Ink vintage photo to the edges, stamped script (Wendy Vecchi Studio 490) onto the leaves with Ranger's Archival Ink orange blossom (Wendy Vecchi) and glued them on as shown. Attached it all to a folded deep brown card.
In this last picture I've tilted the card in the light to show the Inka Gold around the edges better.

Dylusional
Don't you just love these fun Dyan Reaveley Dylusions stamps!!!! They crack me up!!! Made this birthday card for a boy. Also used some Perfect Pearls spray on the large fish that you can see better in the tilted picture. Dylusion sprays in the background and used with a water brush for painting. White pen to make all those eyes pop.
I sent the tag to our son this past summer while he was at camp. The words were computer generated.

Bless You Card
So that background technique I mentioned yesterday... Yep, used it on this card. I wish you could feel it, lol. The butterfly is a The Stamp Pad Co stamp, The scripture is from Our Daily Bread Designs. The flower is made from book pages. Punch out several flowers, stack them up offsetting the petals, add a brad to the center, scrunch each flower to the center individually, pull them back from the center, spray with color and dry. I also added tiny gold beads to the center gluing them on with Glossy Accents.

Commit
The background technique on this tag is one I've done several times this year because I just love the result so much. I add embossing paste through a stencil (white or translucent), spray on color (I used Dylusions on this tag) and let it dry. When it's all dry I brush on Golden's fluid matte medium. This seals in the color, leaves a matte rather than glossy finish. The matte finish doesn't feel sticky like glossy can sometimes. Also the whole feel of the paper is awesome!! Almost like a piece of leather or something. After the matte medium was dry I added Inka Gold around the edges and lightly over other raised areas. White Sharpie paint pen was used on the raised dots (also the dots on the flowers). The vine and bird are die cuts (Sizzix). The butterfly is a Studio 490 stamp. The flowers are Studio 490 Art Parts. The scripture is an Our Daily Bread Designs stamp. Distress Paint used on the vine and flowers. Dylusions painted on the butterfly. An Idea-ology piece tied to the top with ribbon. Viva paint pen for the center dots on the flowers.
I also did some stamping on the back of the tag leaving room to write a personal message. All stamps on the back are Wendy Vecchi Studio 490. Distress Paint over the back and stamping with Ranger Archival Ink.

Blue Flowers on a Journal Page
Just a little play in one of my journals!! Acrylic paint for the blue and yellow... Sharpie paint marker for the white lines. The saying is a Quietfire Design stamp, stamped with Ranger jet black Archival ink. The birds are cut from lightweight watercolor paper using a Tim Holtz die and colored using Distress Inks and a blending tool and I also added a bit of blue Inka Gold along the top of the bird and the wings.
