Happy Sunday to you!!! I finished up this page in my scripture journal today.
This is a small Dylusions journal. I began with stamping in Archival Ink Black Soot.
I dabbed on Embossing ink (more like rubbed with the dabber) not wanting to cover everything and embossed with Speckled Egg Distress Embossing Glaze. Do you know the next new color of Distress will be released later this month. So exciting!!!!
Next came Distress Crayon rubbing in the crayon with a slightly damp finger. The crayon sticks well where there is no embossing. After rubbing the crayon everywhere take a damp paper towel and lightly rub over the embossing to clean it up. This is a technique Tim shared while doing his Saturday demos.
Another technique he shared.... transparent Grit-Paste through a stencil, after the paste is on lightly tap the palette knife over the paste to give more texture, add embossing glaze over the paste, tap off the extra powder and return to the jar, let the grit-paste dry and once it's dry then heat to melt the powder. If you heat it before it's completely dry you will get spots that bubble up and I did get some on this page. Not a bad look, it's just important to know that it could happen.
More stenciling with Distress Paint.
An old gift card was used to add Black Soot Distress Paint to create a frame.
The bottom piece is die cut black cardstock. The top piece is an Idea-ology journal card. I added some embossing along two edges and inked all the edges with Speckled Egg Distress Ink.
The scripture is computer generated. I lightly misted the piece with Dried Marigold, dried it, added Distress Marker on the edges, sprayed them with water, and dried it. Under the scripture is a piece from a hymnal page. The butterflies are Idea-ology and I inked the edges with Speckled Egg.
Some close-ups for you.
Let me what you think about the page. I really had fun creating it.
Hugs, Wanda

Oh, my goodness, Wanda! This page is so wonderful, full of depth and texture! I love how you've used the embossing to create the rusty effect, and the colors are spot on for that. I love that you made scripture your focal point-the truth we need to see and absorb right now. This is truly a work of art, and an exceptional use of your stencils! While I'm here, I want to say thanks so much for playing with us at The Funkie Junkie Boutique challenge blog. I hope you have a wonderful day!
Love the way the clever stencilling has made such an impact on that beautiful stamped background Wanda. It's such a wonderful page. Thank you for joining in with our challenge at The Funkie Junkie Boutique Blog xx
