Hello!!! Today on the Elizabeth Craft Design's Blog is a group post sharing a picture or two from several designers with projects for Valnetine's Day. All the projects will be linked to the designers' blogs for more information. I've created a Valentine Centerpiece. My first picture shows the centerpiece with the LED candle inside not lit up and the lights on in the room. The picture below has the candle on and less light in the room.
And this next picture is with the candle on and no lights on in the room.
Let's walk through the project!!
1 - Die cut the Gable Box from Kraft Cardstock, fold in half as shown, line up the Heart Spray across the center, and die cut.
Here it is die cut and opened. I love how the design goes around the box when it is closed up.
2 - On what will be the inside of the box, glue red vellum to cover all the cut outs. I glued the vellum on with Distress Collage Medium dabbing it all across that center section of the box so the vellum would stick well across the hearts even after folding.
3 - Fold and attach box together creasing folds that the vellum crosses for a smooth fit.
Here you can see the candle inside.
And a picture from the outside with the candle lit.
A picture with the candle not lit.
Another angle with the candle not lit.
4 - Die cut the Rose Wreath from red cardstock and the solid flowers from White Soft Finish Cardstock. Attach the white solids behind the corresponding red outlines.
5 - Die cut Love from red cardstock repeating 5 times.
6 - Die cut a Dotted Scallop Circle from White Soft Finish Cardstock to fit over the center of the wreath.
7 - Stamp the leafy stem from the clear stamp set, Where Flowers Bloom, around the scalloped circle with Archival Ink stamping twice with each inking to get some lighter images. Glue the scalloped circle to the wreath.
8 - Die cut the heart stem from the Wreath & Elements set from red cardstock. Cut off the extra tale (stem) so you have just the heart. Glue the heart to the from top of the Gable Box.
9 - The large white hearts are paper doilies. They are just sitting in a circle, like a flower. Set the assembled wreath in the center of the hearts. Set the box on the wreath. Set a "Love" on each heart. "Sprinkle" some chocolate kisses around the box.
I hope you like this idea!! I love seeing it sitting on my table!!
Hugs, Wanda
