FriYay!!! And a holiday weekend here in the US. We have family coming today, staying until Tuesday, and it will be a great visit!!
I'm squeezing in my entry for the Simon Says Monday Challenge before they get here. The theme this week is School or Study Related.
I began with a piece of Kraft Cardstock, stamped the border image (Stampers Anonymous, Tim Holtz, CMS270 Patchwork Pieces) across the whole panel with DOX Abandoned Coral and inked the edges with the same color. Stenciled on the alpha/numbers (Tim Holtz Mini 011) with Distress Ink Vintage Photo. I was going to use a wooden ruler and I'm sure I have some.. somewhere.. but they are hiding very well. So instead I inked a piece of Mixed Media Cardstock with Distress Ink Tea Dye, embossed it with the rulers embossing folder (Sizzix, Tim Holtz), inked over it with Distress Ink Walnut Stain and cut one section out. Worked pretty good, huh!! Idea-ology pieces -- flashcard, paper doll, small talk stickers, staples. "Future" is done with a dymo tape. Couldn't find a suitable apple so made one.. sketched it, cut it out, inked it with Candied Apple, covered it with Glossy Accents, once dry cut out a leaf shape and glued it to the back. Put it all together, added black lines around the small talk stickers and Black Soot Ink to the edges of the panel. Attached it to a folded cream colored card.

That's lovely Wanda! X
Wow, I have those journal cards and this wasn't even on my radar of what to imagine. Looking at the work of others is always inspiring and helps to get me out of the box.
