There is much to be thankful for and to be joyful of.... but sometimes we need to remember to think about those things.. seeing this tag will be a good reminder!!!!
All stamps used on this tag are from the PaperArtsy Lin Brown set ELB23. All paint is PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paint. I started by scraping some grunge paste onto a #8 Ranger manila tag using a palette knife. I stamped into the paste - spray some water onto the stamp, rub over it with your fingers, and stamp.. repeat.. you can wipe the stamp off a bit in-between if necessary.. when finished stamping, be sure and clean any paste off your stamp right away. While the paste was drying I stamped two flowers and one stem image onto some smoothy card. The stem/leaves were painted with limelight, hey pesto, and hyde park. I cut out one whole flower and around the center petals on the second flower. I painted the outside petals of the whole flower with glass blue and the inside petals with zesty zing. The second flower was painted with zesty zing. I added white highlights on both flowers with a gel pen. I used a black Glaze pen on the ends in the center and Pitt pen to darken the lines up to the ends. Markers were used to color the very center of the flower.
Over the grunge paste background I painted with both smurf and tinned peas, both thinned a bit with water, and then stood the tag up and sprayed on more water allowing it to drip down and then left it to dry. I stamped the small flower image onto the tag with smurf paint and once dry decided to also stamp some with vanilla paint. Around the edges of the tag I sponged Archival Ink fern green. I stamped the quote, cut out the words today's joys, sponged the edges with tumbled glass Distress ink, glued it to the tag and shaded a little with an All-Stabilo pencil. A seam binding bow at the top finishes it off.
