Blog Hop Winner and a New Tag

Hello on this rainy in Iowa Monday!!!  But even with the rain it is wonderful outside.  I haven't put a coat on all day.  We are supposed to have a couple more days of warm weather and then we start heading back to winter and with Saturday's high only being in the 30s F.

First we'll get to the winner on my blog for the Queen of Hearts Blog Hop.  Random Number choose #24 and the 24th comment on the Hop post is.....

This is gorgeous Wanda, I love your Spring greens, and the sentiment is wonderful. Sorry it's such a quick visit but I'm on a borrowed laptop! Have a great week. Sue xx
Congratulations, Sue!!!!!!!!!!!  You can email either me or Quietfire Design with your full name and address information and a prize will be sent!!!  Woo-hoo!!!  All winners will be posted on the Quietfire Creations Blog soon (perhaps tomorrow).

Now onto this tag!!  It would be great as a gift topper or attach it to a folded card. It began as a Ranger #5 black tag.  I inked up the Tim Holtz Sizzix Flourish embossing folder with Distress Oxide Wilted Violet, embossed the tag and then lightly sprayed the tag with water to oxidize the ink.  Can we say  Gorgeous!!!!  I went around the edge of the tag Distress Paint Brushed Pewter and splattered some across the tag also.  The flower is one from the new Tim Holtz Sizzix Wildflowers #2 set.  I cut it from Distress Mixed Media Heavy Stock, inked it with Oxides (Broken China, Peeled Paint), sprayed the flower, dried it, added shading with Distress Markers of the same color and also used Wink of Stella Gl. Clear along the top edge of the flower.  "You" is from the Quietfire Design (Elizabeth Craft Designs) Think of You cutting die set, cut from white cardstock, inked along the bottom with Broken China Oxide, sprayed with water, dried and Wink of Stella used over the still white area of the die cut.  "make a difference" is from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Small Talk sticker book.  I've layered it on a scrap colored with Broken China Oxide.  The Tim Holtz Idea-ology Crinkle Ribbon was also colored with Broken China Oxide along with water, crumpled, dried, put through the tag and then tied with some metallic silver fiber I have.
