PaperArtsy Roundup Day 5

Hello!!  It's hard to believe that this is the end of 2015 and tomorrow begins 2016.  It seems like just yesterday the big thing was switching from writing 1999 to 2000 and here we are 16 years later.  Wow!!!!

PaperArtsy is in the midst of doing a series of roundup posts from all the 2015 topics and the posts have been Fantastic.  If you haven't been following along, I really encourage you to go back and view them all. I'm today's curator recapping Topics 13, 14, and 15 which were Time, Flowers, and Gels & Mediums.  Part of the post is sharing a project that combines all 3 topics and I made the card I'm sharing today.

This is a standard size card and I've created it with a top fold.  Now, I did not mean to do that, but once it was done, I rather like it and just might be doing this more.  It makes it so much easier to stand up the card!!!  I used heavy smoothy for both the main panel and the folded card.  I spread a thin layer of grungepaste over the main panel not worrying if the paste was absolutely everywhere and it isn't.  I immediately stamped into the paste with images from the JOFY 36 set.  To do this, spray some water on the stamp, rub the water around with your finger and then stamp.  If the stamp picks up some paste, be sure and clean it all off before it dries.  After all my "texture" was stamped in, I left the paste to dry completely.  Once dry, I scribbled on some colors of Gelatos including gold, sprayed the panel with water and moved/blended the Gelatos with my finger.  Because of the gold, you can see some shimmer as you move the card in the light. This is dried with the heat tool.  Next I dry brushed Fresco Finish paint Snowflake over the whole panel to help bring out the textures.  While the white was out I stenciled some numbers (PaperArtsy stencil PS021) with it. Now some stamping on top with Archival Ink (watering can, tiger lily, and carnation red) using images from JOFY36 and the word today from JOFY34.  Finally I distressed the edges with a distressing tool.

The flower (JOFY36) was stamped onto smoothy card with Fresco Finish paint Slate, embossed with clear embossing powder, painted with Fresco Finish paint Yellow Submarine and London Bus, cut out, and some pen work added with a white gel pen.  The stem was stamped onto smoothy card with watering can ink, painted with Fresco Finish Limelight and cut out.  The stem was glued to the panel.  The flower was attached with foam mounting tape and the clock glued to the center.  The words (JOFY38) were stamped onto a scrap with Archival Ink jet black, cut out, glued on, shaded with an All Stabilo pencil activated with a water brush and some red paint added with a water brush.
