Flowers and a Song

A quick card made last night so I could put it in the mail today.  I started with a piece of old music paper with the edges torn.  I painted over the whole piece with Fresco Finish Cheesecake using a sponge to spread the paint very thin (cheesecake is an opaque paint) so the music could still be seen yet pushed to the back.  I stamped the flower (JOFY #14 from PaperArtsy) with Ranger's Archival jet black and quickly embossed it with clear powder.  I used paint colors beach hut and london bus to paint in the flowers and also to sponge around the edges of the paper.  I also took some watered down london bus on the paint brush and tapped it against my finger so it would splatter across the background.  Stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with jet black and embossed it with clear.  Decided to also stamp along the bottom (another stamp in the same JOFY set) and paint with the same colors.  Finally I rubbed some Treasure Gold around the edges and gave the piece a quick sprits with Perfect Pearls mist.  Layer to edge-distressed teal cardstock and then to the folded card.  Oh, almost forgot.. the green in the background is Archival Ink emerald green applied with a stencil brush.

The softer, muted background textures and colours are lovely Wanda, really makes the flowers pop.
