CCC #21 - Perfect Distress
This weeks technique for the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge is perfect distress found on page 38 of Tim's book. I did this technique several times after Tim first shared it on his blog but hadn't done it since and it was fun playing with it again. I should have used a different color of ink on here as the technique didn't show up really well but I learned something from that and learning is good. For all the details of the challenge see Linda's blog. All stamps used on my tag are Tim Holtz. Distress ink colors are weathered wood, bundled sage, and forest moss. Archival ink for the black stamping. Ideology pieces and some trim to finish it off.
Wow you did a terrific job Wanda, this is downright gorgeous.

You really nailed this Wanda! I do love that tree stamp more every time I see it used.
ReplyDeleteno need for other colors for me, really love it! and love the coloring you did under the line of the trees. :)
ReplyDeleteNice colors and tag! The birds around here hang on the line right across the street so this looks almost like home to me :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tag. Love the colours
ReplyDeleteThis is cool! Love how the trees don't look like Christmas trees but regular evergreens!
ReplyDeleteLove it, Wanda! Fantastic tag and great technique!
ReplyDeleteYou have such nice soft colors, and the perfect distress shine really shows through!
ReplyDeleteWanda, this is such a wonderful tag! Anytime I see the Birds on a Wire image, I get happy, but when I see it used this beautifully, I'm over the moon! What a great design. Your perfectly distressed tress are lovely, and the snowflakes are so subtle and pretty. I love the "journey" stamp and the clever little compass, too!
ReplyDeleteAwesome job, as always!
